Dynamic Handgun Fundamentals:
This handgun fundamentals course is designed to begin the process of setting the foundation for your entire handgun training program. You will learn how to get your training started on the right track with this skill development course. It is pointless to train and practice for hours if you’re are training the wrong way. Don’t just guess what you are supposed to be doing on the range, or just go blindly without a plan.
This course is taught by professional firearms instructor, and 25-year veteran law enforcement officer David Kemp. This will be a fast-paced course and will focus on:
- The 7 Fundamentals of Handgun Shooting
- Gear/Equipment Selection
- Malfunction Drills
- Dry-Fire Drills
- Using Cover/Concealment
- Loading/Unloading/Tactical and Speed Reloads
- Various Shooting Positions
- Rhythm Drills/Trigger Systems
- Proper Movement With the Handgun
- Target Discrimination/Multiple Target Engagement
Gear Requirements:
- Gun: Quality self-defense/concealed carry handgun. Caliber must be 9mm, .40, or .45. No sub-compact guns will be allowed. At least 3 magazines and magazine pouch/holder.
- Rigid Belt and Outside the Waistband Holster.
- Round Count: 300 rounds, factory manufactured only. No reloads.
- Eye and Ear Protection: High impact eye pro and electronic ear protection only.
- Clothing appropriate for current weather conditions.
- Hydration and Energy Bars (or whatever) to get you through a 4-hour class.
